Greetings and thank you for being a vital part of our ministry!
What a wonderfully busy year we've had! In February, four of us went to India and Nepal to uplift our pastor friends. We spent quality time every day with the children of the orphanage and held a pastor's conference where we shared messages of hope and encouragement. One of the highlights was having the privilege of washing and anointing the feet of each pastor. All felt the sweet presence of the Holy Spirit!
We had an amazing opportunity to love and serve the widows and people who suffer with leprosy which was extremely heart filling! We can tell you from what we saw, that your monthly support is vital for them. Without it they would be begging in the streets while seen as a curse, unclean, and having no value. They meet bi-monthly for a time of ministry, to have their wounds cleaned, hear the Word of God, and be encouraged. The love of God is shown to them in a hands-on tangible way. They receive rice, fruits, vegetables, personal essentials, and a lot of love.
We also toured the orphanage building project where there have been many setbacks including: supply chain shortages; a long season of monsoon flooding; a temporary halt of the sale of sand (a building staple in India); worker shortage; and worst of all, dealing with cobras. Despite these, God makes a way for progress to continue - so please be thankful with us because currently second floor is being built! These pictures show progress of the second floor and the children who will soon be able to live in the orphanage.
ATC supports two sewing centers that we visited, meeting with the teachers and students. These students are poor women who are either followers of Jesus Christ or Hindu (prevalent religion of India). Most are secluded and many times mistreated by husbands. At the sewing centers they not only learn a skill to earn income, but it provides them a safe place of wonderful fellowship where they learn Scripture and worship Jesus Christ before each class. As a result, many of the beautiful Hindu women get saved. When their husbands see the difference in them, it often brings entire families to Christ. Won’t you join us in providing a sewing machine and basic sewing tools for each woman who graduates? Your gift will truly impact their quality of life.
In Nepal we enjoyed quality time with our Pastor friend and ministered in the church we helped build in Katmandu . This church is the very heartbeat of the slums and spending time with our brothers and sisters there was beautiful beyond words.
This past summer the monsoons caused the river to flood the slums twice, destroying many homes and causing significant damage to our church. Because of your generosity, we provided the necessary funds to rebuild homes and renovate the church. Your donations also helped affected families with blankets, clothing, cleaning products, and basic living essentials.
The church in Pakistan is also receiving your support where the boots on the ground is evangelism. Partnered with ATC generous donors like you, they were able to purchase 200 bibles, 75 children's bibles and 50 audio bibles. Now every Christian working in the brick yard and believers have access to a bible! There the pastors are ministering to the Muslim and Hindu communities, spreading the word and displaying the love of Jesus. Their church has increased so much that they added on to their building to have sufficient room. There are now 65 believers who regularly meet.
Closer to home, your funds helped to purchase supplies for the flooded areas in North Carolina. We sent tents, cook stoves, propane, sleeping bags, blankets, cold weather clothing, protein bars, chocolate, and of course coffee with a trusted friend who was going to minister to the victims of Helene.
Your love, prayers, and financial support enables us to do what we do! It is humbling to see how God has highlighted this little ministry and brought together people from all over the world to partner in the ATC vision to make the world a better place, and to spread the good news of Jesus Christ to a hurting world. We are so grateful to you.
We are ending the year with exciting news! ATC has been given a generous donation of $18,000 that will be met through matching donations. Will you include us in your year-end giving?
